While there may be truth in the saying that the camera never lies, the
same can rarely be said of the photographer.
Makeup and lighting make a huge contribution to the final image, however even models
with the best complexions benefit from some level of retouching. The two images on this page show the results of my typical retouching
process in Photoshop. Contrast and saturation are boosted slightly, spots and blemishes, wrinkles and lines are removed, the skin is smoothed - but not so smooth that it looks unnatural - stray
hairs are removed, eyes and teeth are whitened, and the image is sharpened with higher levels of sharpenening applied to the eyes.
While many photographers charge $25-$50 to retouch each photo, I believe that retouching
is an integral part of the process and include retouching as part of the packages I offer.
